Customer Responsibilities - Pet Transportation
Prior to transportation of your pet the customer must ensure that their pet is fit for travel and that all the required paperwork is in place and up to date. Detailed information on this is available at the DEFRA website. If you have any questions you can phone the DEFRA pet travel helpline for further assistance. We will also do our best to help you - just ask!
It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that their pet's passport is valid and that the recorded information re vaccinations, chips and other treatments complies with the mandatory travel regulations.
The owner must inform Petz2u Limited if their pet is suffering from any medical condition and needs to take medication during the pets transportation. The owner must also supply this medication.
You must also inform us if your pet is nervous and/or aggressive. If this is the case, and to avoid causing your pet any stress, we require you to settle your pet into their travelling unit. This policy will ensure that your pet starts their journey in a relaxed and calm manner. You may also wish to consult your vet prior to your pet's transportation for advice and guidance.
At the time of booking we require either an emailed copy, or posted copy of the pet passport - this allows us to check that all the mandatory travel documentation is in place. Their micro chip will be checked by us prior to the transportation of your pet.
We will prepare a personalised quote for you which is dependant on the size of your pet, the pick up point, and their final destination.
To book travel for your pet we request a 25% deposit which is non refundable. This must be made at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full 5 days prior to date of travel.
Deposit and/or final payment can be made via all major credit / debit cards or bank transfer.
It is the responsibility of the owner to meet Petz2u at the agreed pick up point at the agreed time . It is also the responsibility of the owner to meet Petz2U at the agreed collection point. Inclement weather, traffic problems, and Euro tunnel delays can occour and are outwith the control of Petz2U.
If any of the foregoing circumstances do occur it will adversely affect our arrival time. Petz2U will inform you immediately if we expect to be delayed. Our GPS tracking system, and the unique number you are given at time of booking, allows you to monitor our journey and will show any delays/hold ups in our journey.
